How do you organize your cellar?
Similar to Eric, I labelled my racks 100, 200, 3000 and 4000 and then numbered the individual racks.
Why do you love wine?
At the age of 17, which is the legal age for drinking wine in Switzerland, I started investing the money in wine, I earned playing the trumpet at weddings. My father had to sign the first orders because I wasn't 18 yet. When I wanted to go to university at the age of 25, I decided to study oenology and turned wine from a hobby into a career.
How did you start collecting wine?
When I started drinking wine almost 50 years ago, quickly I noticed that well-aged wines are more enjoyable than young wines. That's why I always bought a little more than I enjoyed.
What is your favorite region/variety?
Bordeaux and Piedmont.
What is your favorite CellarTracker feature?
